Groundhog Day Resources

Can you believe we are almost done with January!  Wow!  Groundhog Day, Superbowl Sunday, Valentine's Day, and President's Day will be here before we know it.

I'm working on a few things for all of these holidays - can't wait to share, but today I'll share with you the Groundhog stuff that I found that you might find useful in your classroom (most are games, and some are just extra resources that I thought I'd throw in there)

The first resource I found on YouTube - a cute video on the book "Groundhog Day (And Possum Night) by Tom Tittle - perfect for younger kiddos.  It has some silly animations that kids are sure to love!  A great way to start out your Groundhog Day Activities:

Then - have your student head over to the computers to play some fun Groundhog-themed games at "Primary Games"

Or, print out these two cutie Groundhog Day games, one for contractions and the other for blends (for your younger kiddies)

Finally, I put together a couple Groundhog-themed games for the SMARTBoard that you can customize for any content/grade level!  Pop over to Teachers Pay Teachers to get yours for FREE - yippie!!

Finally, if you are looking for addition resources for Groundhog Day - I'd love for you to check out my math and literacy activities pack.

What's your plan for Groundhog Day?
